Dear All Unfortunately, the bad news in Sherborne St John continues, after my report on Saturday of the 2 break-ins… - Between Fri 21st-Weds 26th – unoccupied dwelling broken into, Vyne Road – ornaments, etc, taken.
- Tues 25th – two outbuildings broken into – Elm Road and Spring Close – bathroom fitments and garden equipment taken. Believe this occurred during the daytime.
Suspicious white LDV Convoy van - P704EBL – seen on the morning of Sat 22nd – Vyne Road and Vyne Farm – 3 males asking for scrap. Back at the beginning of the month, a white flatbed van with again 3 males in, visited John Wilson in Manor Road. Were asking if he would sell equipment in his yard, and even asked to buy one of his horses. No registration number, but please be vigilant in that area in case they return for anything they saw and liked. With residents now starting to go on holiday, particularly with half-term almost upon us, please keep an eye on your neighbours’ properties and report anything or anyone who shouldn’t be about. My timing is impeccable - L and I will be on leave between Sat 29th May returning on Fri 12th June – with this recent spate of crime, please continue to be vigilant and report anything suspicious at the time either on the 0845 switchboard number, or 999 if you are witnessing it happening.
