Meeting DatesA Parish Council must meet annually. In an election year the Annual General Meeting must take place within 14 days of the Councillors taking office and in other years it can be held on any day in May. Additionally a Parish Council must meet on at least 3 other occasions during the year but there is no bar on the number of meetings in excess of this. Meetings include discussions on matters of planning, roads and footpaths, finance, policy, and documents produced by local and central government. Each year in April an Annual Parish Assembly is held, at which reports are presented by county and borough councillors as well as the Chairman of the parish council and representatives of the local school and organisations.
