Exciting News: Completion of Monk Sherborne Play Area Refurbishment!

We are thrilled to announce that the long-awaited refurbishment of our beloved play area has been successfully completed!

The eagerly anticipated transformation of our play area into a vibrant and inviting space for children and families to enjoy has been completed. Thanks to the collective efforts of the Parish Council, our dedicated contractors and the grant awards we received have turned this vision into a reality.

The project was part funded by the UK government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund, receiving £25,000 towards the project. The UK Shared Prosperity Fund is a central pillar of the UK government’s Levelling Up agenda and provides £2.6 billion of funding for local investment by March 2025. The Fund aims to improve pride in place and increase life chances across the UK investing in communities and place, supporting local business, and people and skills. Substantial funding was secured through contributions from the Manydown Trust, Manydown Charity, and Monk Sherborne Village Hall. Their combined support facilitated the realisation of the project by providing the necessary additional funds. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all those who contributed to the implementation of this project.

The play area boasts a range of innovative equipment designed to stimulate creativity, encourage physical activity, and provide endless hours of fun for children of all ages. Safety is our top priority, and extensive measures have been implemented to ensure that the play area is a secure and welcoming environment for children to explore and play.

We are proud to have created a play area that is accessible to children of all abilities, being designed with features to ensure that every child can participate and enjoy the play experience.
